"Until We Meet Again"

The Ending is near of Fantasy Faire and I wanted to leave you with one last story. I will miss all the lands and its people and the magic of it all. Until next year when we will have new memories and adventures. I have had very dear family members succumb to Cancer. Every year at Fantasy Faire I sit and think of them all. I light a candle for them and think of them fondly. This story is for all of us who have lost someone due to cancer. We will continue to fight for them, for all of us. 

 "Until We Meet Again"

In a small village nestled between rolling green hills, two childhood fairy friends, Lily and Emma, grew up inseparable. Their days were filled with laughter, adventures, and dreams of a future where they would never have to be apart.

But as they grew older, life took them in different directions. Emma felt called to the skylands to be a guide,while Lily stayed behind in the forests to be a keeper of the light. Despite the distance, their bond remained unbreakable, with letters keeping them connected.

Years passed, and life threw both Fairy's its fair share of challenges and heartaches. And yet, through it all, they found solace in knowing that no matter where they were, they would always have each other.

Then one day, a letter arrived bearing news that would change everything. Emma had been diagnosed with a rare fairy illness, one that left her with only a few months to live. Lily was devastated, but she knew she had to be strong for her friend.

She packed her bags and traveled to the Skylands, where she spent every waking moment by Emma's side. They relived their childhood memories, shared their deepest fears and hopes, and laughed until tears streamed down their faces.

As the days passed, Emma's condition worsened, and Lily felt her heart breaking with each labored breath. And then, on a rainy afternoon, Emma took her last breath, leaving Lily alone with memories and a promise to never forget their bond.

As Lily stood by Emma's graveside, the rain washing away her tears, she knew that their friendship would live on forever. And as she whispered the words, "Until we meet again," she felt a sense of peace knowing that Emma was finally free from pain and suffering.

And so, with a heavy heart but a soul filled with love, Lily returned to their hometown, carrying Emma's spirit with her wherever she went. And though they were physically apart, their connection remained unbroken, a testament to the enduring power of true friendship. Until they would meet again in a place where pain and sorrow no longer existed.
