Viking Longhouse

I found the Viking Longhouse and furnishing from a wide variety of different vendors at the SL Living Expo. These items can be found at the SL Living Expo which benefits the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event.

The Viking longhouse is associated with the Norse people during the Viking Age and were primarily built in Scandinavia.  These were designed to serve as communal living spaces for families and their livestock.  Longhouses were more than just homes; they reflected the social structure of Viking society.

They served as gathering places for families and communities, and their size often indicated the wealth and status of the occupants. Larger longhouses could host feasts and gatherings, showcasing the importance of community in Viking culture, such as the furnishings in my longhouse.
