The small black kitten named Noel crouched on the couch, her eyes fixed intently on the plate of freshly baked Christmas cookies sitting on the coffee table. The warm, buttery scent wafted through the cozy cottage, enticing the curious feline.
With a quick glance around to ensure no one was watching, Noel leaped from the couch and landed gracefully on the table. She sniffed the cookies, its whiskers twitching, before sinking its tiny teeth into one of the soft, crumbly treats.
